more give, less take

I wasn’t going to write a blog today until I saw today’s quote:
"If you want happiness for an hour -- take a nap. If you wanthappiness for a day -- go fishing. If you want happiness for amonth -- get married. If you want happiness for a year --inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime --help someone else."

This is interesting as I went to do my volunteering today...

I remember when I was 6, someone asked me what would I do if I won tattslotto, and I said I would donate it all to a charityI remember in my year 11 Chinese oral examination, I was asked what my career aspirations were and I said I would like to become a psychologist to help people with their problems

I always say that I would like to help people and etc - it was time to put this into action...

I went to Juno consulting where they required a number of corporate personnel to conduct mock interviews for the long-term unemployed. There were a wide range of interviewees where some could have graduated recently and is going into their first corporate job, there are mothers who took a gap in their career for family reasons, and there are others who are seeking for full time jobs

it's quite an extraordinary feeling to be sitting on the other side of the desk and be the one who is controlling the situation, trying to calm the participant, to drive the direction of the interview, to extract the info for a specific role.... there are just so much involved in the role.

It is such a rewarding feeling, having someone to wanting and taking so positively to your feedback and giving tips to someone and hoping that it will make a difference in our community. It was interesting where one participant said that he looks forward to get a role soon and start paying tax!

Can't believe how much I took out of today... it's even a better feeling that I initially thought

So it goes without saying, try out what you want to do, because life is about trying out different things and experience everything that life could give you...
